Repair Cafés in Brussels

There are many repair cafés in the Brussels region.

The zipper of your favourite bag strikes, there is a hole in your jacket and your coffee maker is broken? No need to despair - and more importantly, no need to throw these things away! You can learn how to repair almost anything with the right knowledge and tools.

In many cities you find both tools and knowledge in repair cafés and fix your favourite items in great company, saving resources and money in the process!

Sustainable Brussels

Sustainable Brussels is a collective of Brusselairs that are passionate about the environment. Their aim is to connect locals, expats and travellers with the urban sustainability scene through guided sustainable city tours as well as a map that gives an overview of Brussels’ bulk stores, second hand outlets, vegetarian restaurants, urban gardens, and farmers markets.

Usitoo

Usitoo is a library of objects where you can rent a wide range of tools and everyday articles. The idea is to prevent people from having to buy things they might only need once or twice a year and then throw them away almost unused after years of storing them. The average power drill is used for 13 minutes in its lifetime… so safe money and the planet’s resources by renting instead of buying!
